Pp. xvi,382,ii,xxi, frontispiece.This book was printed in Cape Town and this specific copy was specially bound in half-leather by Saul Solomon & Co, interleaved with a blank leaf between each page of text. This copy belonged to Colonel Jack Vincent (with his pencil signature & date 1937 & book-plate on paste-down), noted African ornithologist and many years Director of the Natal Parks Board. There are occasional neat notes in pencil by Vincent on the blank leaves and a couple in ink by the first owner (Ed. N. Prince ?).
